It started at six weeks, soon dwindled to ten days remaining, and now it’s down to hours. Twenty more hours, two more days of work, and much awaited freedom will be upon me. One of the most difficult harvests in the past few years in South Australia is nearly over, and after a learning, but tiring, experience for the body, mind, and soul, a much awaited vacation is coming.
The plan is simple, me and a couple of buddies are going to hit the open road from Adelaide and chart our way through wine country, national parks, and coastal beach roads to Melbourne. After a few days in Melbourne, three of us fly to the south island of New Zealand to rent a camping van and spend two and a half weeks cruising the roads of the North and South islands, in search of good wine, good food, and the random adventures that come along with half un-planned travel. From New Zealand we fly back to Sydney for a few last days in Australia before two return to reality in France, and I return to reality in the US.
With the vineyards of Langhorne Creek in my rearview mirror, my only plans are to relax, drink wine, enjoy the time, and write blog posts as I am inspired. So keep tuning in, as I will be posting about my wine related adventures down under as I find wireless hot spots along the way!
Cheers!

Can I come?
