This is a pretty badass internship. Second Glass is an events and technology start-up that helps young wine drinkers discover new wines, remember what they like and share it with friends. We throw a large scale wine event called Wine Riot and we need your help with event planning and marketing! You’ll be working closely with Wine Riot Director: Sally, Event Relations Manager: Jenn, and Wine Riot Marketing Director: Rachel. Looking to fill the position for Summer 2012
The perks are great:
- No fetching coffee and making photocopies - you’ll head up projects, work with our team and build valuable relationships
- Help plan and run our first ever Wine Riot San Francisco, and have your hand in making it a smashing success
- The occasional (okay..maybe weekly) drinking of wine in the office - we call it: expanding our wine knowledge
- Follow the event from crazy start to glamorous finish and be proud of the kickass job that you’ll do!
And the tasks are super fun (at least to dorks like us):
- Do research into different cities, events, vendors, venues, etc, etc, etc.
- Work the behind-the-scenes of a major public event
- Help us find awesome event volunteers in each city and make sure they know their assignments
- Keep everything organized even on the brink of utter chaos
- Call people, ask questions, help with bookings and then participate in the decision making process
- Do fun stuff on the internet - help with promotion and managing our social media outlets
Ultimately, you appreciate responsibility, are motivated and energetic, can keep track of multiple projects at once and possibly even get excited about organizing and color coding various spreadsheets and collaborative docs.
This is an unpaid internship, but we’ll help you out with public transit costs and hook you up with wine every once in a while.
