Emeric Gaucher visits Second Glass!

by Sarah McCulleyJuly 20, 2010

Emeric Gaucher, winemaker for Georges Dubeouf, came to share the Beaujolais love with Second Glass on Tuesday, July 13th! The eight wines ranged from the fruity, easy-drinking Beaujolais Villages to the intense Moulin-a-Vent wines, perfect for holding their own against some awesome French comfort food.

Emeric joined Georges Dubeouf six years ago, and now works as a winemaker – no small feat in a country that considers death/senility to be the retirement age in the wine business. He convinced us all to visit Beaujolais during harvest season, where they work all day and party all night!

Ranging from $10-$18 dollars a bottle, these wines are as affordable as they are delicious – and as the company that put Beaujolais on the map, Georges Duboeuf ought to know how to make slammin’ wine.

Watch the recap video below, and pick up a bottle to aid in your post-Bastille-day celebrations!
