We at The Second Glass held our monthly “management meeting” (really just an excuse to drink more wine) at Coda, a new-er restaurant and bar in Boston’s South End. We finished the night with the 2006 Qupé Syrah and like falling again for a long lost lover, we realized we needed the Qupé back in our lives.

This was one of our favorite wines a few years ago but with so many bottles to try, it fell by the wayside. Luckily, we have re-discovered this fantastic Syrah.

Hailing from California’s sun-soaked Central Coast comes one of the best Cali Syrahs for the money. Loaded with ripe fruit, bright cherry flavors and a strong body this isn’t a wine that needs 5 years in cellar, it’s made to be uncorked today. This wine is silky smooth and oh, so easy it is to drink.

Pair with pork tenderloin, a good burger and reminisce about lost love.

Why prices for only the first few wines of the month?
