2007 Domaine de la Fruitere Muscadet "Petit M"

Who’s up for a little daytime drinking? Of course you are, it’s summer! Saturdays are meant for sitting around with friends and family sipping on a cool, refreshing beverage talking about how good it feels to not be doing anything. Lucky for you, we found that cool refreshing beverage.

Relax with a glass of 2007 Domaine de la Fruitere Muscadet, from the Sevre et Maine region of the Loire Valley. It’s one of the regions in France you can still find affordable bottles!

Muscadet is a perfect summer sipper, meant to be drank young (aka buy then drink, don’t store it under your bed for ages!). It is a casual everyday drinking wine in the costal towns of its origin, so don’t be afraid to down a few bottles with friends.

You can almost smell the coast calling you with a faint, distant note of the coast– a salty, seawater feel to it. The wine has ripe fruit flavors of white peach and a nice, tart minerality to it. It’s very approachable, with a dry crispness on the finish that goes along perfectly with a cool summer breeze.

Drink liberally on its own, or paired with oysters, shrimp or any other shellfish.
