2007 Paso a Paso Verdejo

La Mancha, Spain – $11

We decided to pick a wine that will help get you through the rest of the summer. It’s crucial to have a good, cheap drinking wine that almost anyone will like. Versatility is key so you can take a few bottles to the beach, drink it in the park or just down a few glasses after a long day.

Our “drink the rest of the summer away” wine is the 2007 Paso a Paso Verdejo. For those of you who have never heard of Verdejo, it’s a white, Spanish grape typically found in the Rueda region. It makes medium to full-bodied wines with bright fruit flavors and this wine is no exception.

Taste the bright peaches along with crisp and clean citrus flavors. This can be a great cocktail wine or you can put a few bottles back with dinner.

We suggest drinking this with Spanish-style food like grilled baby octopus, some cured ham, like prosciutto and the remaining hot days of summer.
