Now that Labor Day has come and gone it's official; we totally got screwed on weather this summer. The least we can do is hope for an indian summer or at least pretend by drinking some great, crisp and refreshing white wine!

Our wine this week will be at Wine Riot and comes from the oldest winery in Napa Valley, Charles Krug. Founded in 1861, the winery was taken over by the Mondavi family in the 1940s and eventually handed down to Peter Mondavi, the current proprietor.

The 2008 Charles Krug Sauvignon Blanc is packed with vibrant and delicious flavor! Our staff couldn't drink enough of this wine during the summer and we'll continue to uncork bottles into the fall. This wine is fermented in stainless steel and doesn't see a lick of oak, bringing out bright fruit flavors of melon and grapefruit.
