2006 Bodegas Torremorón Tempranillo
Ribera del Duero, Spain
people love it!
At our wine tasting party at The Savant Project on Tuesday we held our own election. Out of the eight wines available we let YOU pick the Wine of the Weekend. After the votes were tallied, the winner was the 2006 Torremoron Tinto.
This wine hails from the Ribera Del Duero region of Spain and is made from 100% tempranillo grapes making a deep cherry colored, jammy wine. The grapes are grown on a 500 acre vineyard in the town of Quintanamanvirgo, which has limestone and sandy soils allowing for the roots to dig deep.
There are a ton of great wines coming out of the Ribera Del Duero region of Spain and most of them won't put a strain on your pocketbook. Grab this crowd pleaser on your way home this weekend.
